In 2004, the firm welcomed Ramzy Halaby to the Family Law and Personal
Injury Departments. Since graduating in 2002, Mr. Halaby has had success
as a trial lawyer litigating personal injury cases in Maryland state courts.
As
a law clerk with the Jaklitsch Law Group, Mr. Halaby won several complex
tort liability cases.

In May 2002, Mr. Halaby received his Juris Doctor degree from
the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D. C.. In
law school, as a member of the editorial staff of the American University International
Law Review, Mr. Halaby evaluated writings from internationally renowned experts
on human rights and international trade law. In addition, he distinguished
himself as an attorney with the American University Civil Practice Clinic.
In his third year of law school, he litigated cases in District of Columbia
courts ranging from child custody matters to employment discrimination suits
against the federal government.
Receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ouachita University in Arkadelphia,
Arkansas, Mr. Halaby spent his third year of college abroad at Seinan Gakuin
University in Fukuoka, Japan where he studied Japanese language and government.
Graduating from Ouachita University cum lade with a degree in Political Science,
he was also honored as the Political Science Major of the Year in 1999.
Mr. Halaby is admitted to practice in all Maryland state courts. He is a
native of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
